A quick look at googlemaps.com shows that the railroad alignment should still be very visible through Lake Verde. I thought I’d include a copy of the map to the station today.
I think it’s neat that the wye is still quite visible in the aerial view over the station. I’ve spent quite a bit of time tracing out the Vernon Subdivision through Vernon Bridge, Vernon and Millview but haven’t spent enough time tracing it through Lake Verde. As I get more and more engaged in researching the Southport to Lake Verde and Vernon Bridge to Lake Verde aspects of the Murray Harbour Subdivision I really need to get out and check this out to see what you can see today.
