Tucked in the back of a photo album I found a ton of newspaper clippings. While I remember well the work we’d attempted to start a steam railway on the eastern end of the Island I’ll confess that I don’t remember as well this effort. This is a real pity as the line into Montague would have been perfect. With only a short run to the wye at Montague Junction it wouldn’t have been that hard. Heck, imagine if it grew to reach down into Georgetown. Now that would have been great.
