Oldham King Street in N?

The elegance of another superb 7mm scale model railway has been quite hard to ignore today and I thought I’d take some time to plan out a version of Oldham King Street for N scale using common Peco trackage, namely their medium radius points.

The above drawing is not to scale but shows a very generous version of the plan in about 39″ plus another amount for the fiddle yard. The station tracks on the 7mm version look shorter than I’ve drawn them. I also included both tail tracks (stub-ended sidings parallel to the main). As I drew this I pondered extending on back onto the fiddle yard to permit storage of a longer rake of cars, etc.

Compelling minimum space plan. I really like it.
