Thanks to Steve Dickie for mentioning this. Sounds like it might be interesting and I think I might stop down. This was on CBC Island Morning this morning and I’ve copied the announcement from their website:
CH’TOWN DOWNTOWN RESIDENT’S ASSOCIATION MEETING
St. Paul’s Church Parish Hall, Charlottetown
07:00PM – 08:30PM
Our guest will be Mr. Myron Matheson who will speak to the history of the railway in Charlottetown. “Through pictures and personal reflection we will recall the very significant place the railway played in the economic life of Charlottetown in the decade following WWII. We will also discuss how significantly the landscape between Water Street and the waterfront has changed.” All are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be available. This presentation will be followed by the CDRA’s Annual General Meeting.
