I had a few minutes today and I took advantage of it to complete a little more trackwork on the new layout. I’m excited to share that I have reached a halfway mark in how much track I’ve built. Both sidings at the back of the layout are completed and i have two switches in place plus the short length of track to connect this all to a fiddle yard.
I have enough track in place now that I want to get some feeder wires in place and try and get a train running. With two sidings in place I could now receive a train in one platform and then have it switch sides to be sent out again, following the same pattern the Grand Trunk Western did in Detroit at their Brush Street terminal during the 1970’s.
