24 hours from now we’ll be waist deep in our region’s very first Railway Prototype Modeller’s (RPM) meet. I’ve long been a fan of this style and format for a meet and I am so excited to have the chance to be a part of our first. There is so much talent and truly superb model work being done in our region and I think it’s so terrific to have a platform to showcase it all; not just showing it off but to give everyone a chance to share what they’ve learned and for others to learn.
We’ve set up a plan for the day:
8:00 AM – Registration
10:00 AM – 3D Printing and the Modeler
11:00 AM – Rust on a Hot Steel Roof weathering clinic
12:00 PM – Lunch
1:45 PM – Handlaying Turnouts with Scott, Taylor, and Chris
3:15 PM – Coffee
4:00 PM – Thinking Outside the Box on Boxcars
5:30 PM – Supper
7:30 PM – Modeling Truro Area in the 90’s
Not only is this a chance to showcase the talent here in the Maritimes but really the fantastic people behind the work. It’s going to be a great and very welcoming crowd.
Bring a model to and be prepared to show off your pride. I can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to.
